David Raygoza
Composer · Pianist · Arranger · Music producer
I'm a composer and pianist working at the intersection of traditional piano repertoire and modern music production. My music centers on original composition for piano and small ensembles — drawing from Romantic and impressionistic writing and shaped by an instinct for emotional, dramatic, and cinematic expression.
I'm largely self-developed as a pianist and composer. My background moves between the expressive piano literature I love — composers associated with lyrical, dramatic, and emotional writing — and the tools of contemporary production. I compose in FL Studio and prepare notation in MuseScore Studio, letting the fluidity of digital work feed back into the craft of the score.
This site is a long-term home for my work: a catalog of original compositions, an archive of scores and recordings, and a place to commission new music. It is separate from my other projects — Rayline Audio and NextGen Piano Works — and exists to represent me, simply, as a composer and artist.

Composer Statement
I compose because feeling resists language. A single melodic line at the piano can hold what a paragraph would flatten — longing, restraint, the slow turn of an inner weather. My work is an attempt to give those states a form that lasts.
My influences are the composers and styles associated with expressive, dramatic, emotional piano writing — the Romantic and impressionist traditions, and the cinematic language that descends from them. I'm drawn to harmony that breathes, to long phrases, and to the piano's capacity for both intimacy and grandeur within a few bars.
I move between traditional composition and modern production deliberately. Notation and recording are not separate worlds for me; each informs the other. A sketch in the DAW can clarify a voicing the score was resisting, and a clean engraved score can reveal a phrase the mockup was hiding. The goal is the same: music written to be felt.
Romantic piano
Lyrical, dramatic, emotionally direct writing for the instrument.
Impressionist color
Harmony that breathes and textures that blur at the edges.
Cinematic narrative
Music shaped by story, atmosphere, and the long arc of a feeling.
